Back to Genevilla on the school bus. Walked up under the shadow of the mountain, so we were not in the sun until 11. The last part was tough, so we had a sense of achievement on reaching the pass.
After a flattish stretch, and our first view of LaGuardia, we descended to Meano for lunch in a bar.
The plan was to catch a bus at Kripan, but five of us decided to keep on walking and were rewarded with a couple of dolmens and wonderful autumn colours in the vineyards. The waymarking was inadequate, and at one stage the path was overgrown with briars. For the last 2 km we stayed on the road, arriving at the city gates tired but happy at 5:30.
Hotel, a long bath, and an elaborate banquet with several starters and calamari and oxtail for mail courses. The group gave me a photo of self as solitary pilgrim, signed by all.
